What you share here
stays here

People come to us with questions they have not asked anyone else. This page explains, plainly, what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.

The short version

The full policy is below, but here is the whole of it in six lines.

  • We collect very little. Your contact details, your question, and whatever birth information a reading requires.
  • We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to anyone, in any form.
  • Your reading is private. We do not share, publish, or discuss your session with anybody.
  • We never store card details. Payments are handled entirely by the payment provider.
  • Testimonials need your yes. We will not quote you publicly without asking first.
  • You can ask us to delete everything. Write to us and we will, unless the law requires us to keep a record.
I

Who We Are

House of Aman is a tarot and holistic guidance practice operated by [[LEGAL-NAME]], based in [[CITY-STATE]], India, serving clients in India and internationally through this website at thehouseofaman.com.

In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean House of Aman. "You" means anyone who visits this site, writes to us, or books a reading. We are the party responsible for deciding how your personal information is handled.

II

What We Collect

We ask for as little as a reading allows. Everything below is given by you, voluntarily.

InformationWhen we collect it
NameWhen you write to us or book a reading
Email addressTo reply to you and deliver written readings
Phone or WhatsApp numberOnly if you choose to contact us that way, or ask us to
Country or cityTo work out your time zone and applicable currency
Your question and its contextWhatever you choose to tell us so the reading can be accurate
Birth date, time, and placeOnly for readings that require it, such as astrology or numerology
Payment confirmationA reference number and amount from the payment provider
Basic site dataPages visited, device type, approximate region, via analytics
We never ask for, and never want, the following: your card or bank details, your passwords, your government ID numbers, or your medical records. If any message or page claims to be from House of Aman and asks for these, it is not us. Please tell us if that happens.
III

Why We Collect It

Each piece of information has one purpose, and we do not repurpose it later for something you did not expect.

  • To conduct your reading. Your question, and any birth details a reading needs, exist so the reading can be about you rather than about nobody in particular.
  • To communicate with you. To confirm your booking, ask a clarifying question, send your reading, and answer follow-ups.
  • To take payment. To confirm that a booking has been paid for and to issue a receipt.
  • To keep records. To maintain basic transaction records where accounting or tax law requires it.
  • To improve the site. To understand which pages are useful and where people get stuck.

We rely on your consent and on the necessity of performing the service you asked for. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it at any time.

IV

Confidentiality of Readings

This is the part that matters most, so it gets its own section.

What you bring to a reading is treated as private. Your question, your circumstances, your session recording, and your written report are not shared with anyone, not published, not used as an example, and not discussed with other clients.

  • No testimonials without permission. If we would like to quote something you said, we ask you first, and we accept no as an answer without follow-up.
  • No content built from your session. Your reading does not become a social media post, a case study, or an anonymised example.
  • No discussion with third parties. Not with family members, not with anyone who booked on your behalf, unless you tell us in writing that we may.

The only exception is where a court or a competent authority legally compels disclosure. If that ever happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.

V

Payments

We accept payments in INR and USD through [[PAYMENT-GATEWAY]].

We never see or store your card, bank, or wallet details. When you pay, you are handed over to the payment provider, who processes the transaction on their own systems under their own privacy policy. What comes back to us is a confirmation that a payment succeeded, an amount, and a reference number.

Refunds, where applicable, are returned through the same method you paid with. Please read the payment provider's privacy policy as well, since your payment is governed by it.

VI

WhatsApp & Messaging

Many clients prefer to reach us on WhatsApp, and the chat button on this site opens a conversation with us there.

Messages you send us on WhatsApp travel through WhatsApp's systems and are governed by their privacy policy in addition to ours. We use the number you message from only to reply to you and to coordinate your booking.

We do not add you to broadcast lists, groups, or marketing blasts. If we ever want to send you something other than a reply, we will ask first.

VII

Who We Share With

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers.

We share the minimum necessary with a small number of service providers who help us run the practice:

  • Payment provider — to process your payment.
  • Website host and email provider — because your message physically has to live somewhere.
  • Analytics provider — which receives site usage data, not your reading.
  • Legal or accounting advisors — only where required, and only what is required.

Each of these is bound to use your information solely to provide their service to us. Beyond that list, we share nothing with anyone.

VIII

Cookies & Analytics

This site uses a small number of cookies. Some are essential and simply make the site work. Others are analytics cookies that tell us, in aggregate, which pages people read and how they found us.

Analytics tell us that a page was visited. They do not tell us what you asked in a reading. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work, though some conveniences may not be remembered.

IX

How Long We Keep It

We keep information only as long as it serves a purpose.

WhatHow long
Enquiries that did not lead to a bookingUp to 12 months, then deleted
Reading notes and session recordsUp to 24 months, so we have context if you return
Payment and invoice recordsAs long as tax and accounting law requires
Website analyticsAs per the analytics provider's standard retention

You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will, except where we are legally required to keep a financial record.

X

How We Protect It

The site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to enquiries and reading notes is restricted to the people who actually conduct readings, and accounts are protected with strong, unique credentials.

We keep the amount of information we hold deliberately small, because the safest data is the data that was never collected. That said, no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

XI

Your Rights

Whatever your location, we extend the following to every client:

  • Access — ask what information we hold about you.
  • Correction — have anything inaccurate fixed.
  • Deletion — ask us to erase your information.
  • Withdraw consent — at any time, for anything based on consent.
  • Object or restrict — ask us to stop or limit a particular use.
  • Portability — receive a copy of what you gave us, in a usable format.
  • Complain — to us first, and to your data protection authority if we fail you.

Write to us at the address in the final section. We respond within 30 days. We will not charge you for exercising a right, and we will not treat you differently for having exercised one.

XII

International Clients

We are based in India and welcome clients worldwide. If you write to us from outside India, your information is transferred to and processed in India, where our systems are located.

India's data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By contacting us or booking a reading, you consent to that transfer. Regardless of where you live, we apply the standards in this policy to your information.

XIII

Children

Our readings are intended for adults. We do not knowingly offer services to, or collect information from, anyone under 18.

If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

XIV

Nature of Our Services

Tarot and the practices we offer are tools for reflection, intuition, and self-inquiry, rooted in centuries of symbolic tradition. They are offered for guidance and personal insight.

A reading is not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it should not be treated as one. Decisions you make after a reading remain your own. If you are facing a health, legal, or financial matter, please also speak to a qualified professional in that field.

XV

Changes to This Policy

As House of Aman grows and adds services such as astrology, numerology, vastu, and gemstone guidance, this policy may be updated to reflect them.

When we update it, we change the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will make that clear rather than quietly editing a line.
